Kerala High Court grants bail to father booked for molesting minor daughter after he banned her from following K Pop group BTS

The father said that the main reason for the charges was that he had disapproved of his daughter for listening to the Korean pop group BTS because he believed they were not Islamic.

A man who is accused of repeatedly sexually abusing his 14-year-old daughter was granted bail by the Kerala High Court on Thursday.

Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Justice Gopinath P gave the guy bail, pointing out that some factors cast doubt..

The judge cited the accused argument, which stated that the main reason the allegations were brought up was because the victim's parents disapproved of her following the Korean pop group BTS, which they considered to be un-Islamic.

"But given the previously indicated conditions, I've come to the conclusion that there's a chance that the allegations aren't true. Even so, it might not be appropriate for this Court to reach a decision on the subject. The petitioner's bail application might be taken into consideration while determining whether or not the petitioner is eligible to receive bail, the court stated.

The senior counsel further submitted that, despite having allowed the younger daughter to travel on a school trip to Wayanad, the man had denied the minor daughter's permission to do so.

He maintained that the little girl's aunt had encouraged her to submit the complaint, citing the fact that the girl is currently under the aunt's care.

The Court granted the guy bail, taking into account that he had been detained since December 6 and that the inquiry was finished.

In order to guarantee that the father doesn't get in touch with or threaten his daughter in any way, the Court decided it was appropriate to set extra requirements.
