Our paths crossed during my stint in Muscat, where I had the privilege of interviewing him for the Oman Daily Observer. Little did I know that this encounter would blossom into a cherished friendship.

In one of his personal emails to me, he expressed admiration for my work and even sought my guidance, demonstrating his continuous quest for knowledge and improvement. His unwavering humility was a testament to his character, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Throughout his life, Ameen Sayani remained dedicated to his craft and committed to making a difference. Even in his later years, as health began to take its toll, he continued to inspire through his unwavering determination. Despite his illness, he made it a point to reply to every letter he received, a reflection of his respect for others and his commitment to human connection.








Ameen Sayani's passion for music and his dedication to his art knew no bounds. His iconic voice and unparalleled style captivated audiences for decades, earning him a special place in the hearts of millions.
