Gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for Embracing Gulf-Centric Foreign Policy

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership in prioritizing and implementing a Gulf-centric foreign policy for India.

It's a moment of immense pride to witness the fruition of a suggestion I made through a series of articles in leading Indian newspapers, advocating for deeper engagement with the Gulf region.

The Gulf countries, especially the UAE, hold a significant place in India's economic landscape, with over 8.5 lakhs Indian nationals contributing tirelessly to its growth and development.

Despite this, it's noteworthy that it took more than three decades for an Indian Prime Minister to visit the UAE. However, under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi, this narrative has drastically transformed.

The ongoing visit of PM Modi to the UAE and Qatar marks his 17th visit to the region since 2016, underscoring the government's commitment to fostering stronger ties with our Gulf partners.

This proactive approach not only strengthens economic cooperation but also enhances strategic alliances, bolstering India's position on the global stage.

I am immensely proud to witness this historic shift in India's foreign policy, which not only recognizes the importance of the Gulf region but also harnesses its potential for mutual growth and prosperity.

As we continue to deepen our engagement with our Gulf allies, I am confident that under PM Modi's leadership, India will emerge as a key player in shaping the geopolitics of the region.

I express my sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for his unwavering commitment to advancing India's interests on the global stage and look forward to witnessing the continued success of our Gulf-centric foreign policy initiatives.
