Yes, that's by young Akancha Singh, of Dal Baati & More...., a food start up of Mumbai. She has changed the fate of a young tribal girl, Sunita; from Akola, Maharashtra.

Yes, you are right Sunita is same girl, who walked to me in Dal Baati & More outlet, asking to click a selfie with me being an avid watcher of my TV show.

Before meeting Akancha, Sunita, a domestic help, used to work in restaurant for two years to meet her ends meet in big city of Mumbai.

There, She was only allowed to clean utensil , chop vegetables etc despite her interest in cooking.

But now at Dal, Batti & More, she is being trained to look after fifty orders a day so that she can handle kitchen independently.

She is very happy & gives her 100%. At Dal Baati & More..., just not only our food is unique but also our way of doing things, said Akancha.

The story of Sunita, a domestic help is Dal, Baati way of empowering women. We at DBM, feel that a brand which does not have verifiable social concern will always struggle to sustain, She added.

Now, same Sunita, who was struggling to support herself till yesterday, is ready to bring more person from her village to handle production to meet ever increasing demand at DBM.

DBM is proud of being a company, having women employees in majority. All empowered by trainings.

Empowerment at DBM, doesn't stop here and it goes far beyond. Now, Sunita, is also working to develop some forest products from her village & Akancha is developing recipes from those produce which include Mahua and developing her tribe to source and grade at her village in Yavatmal district.

Now, being able to cook & feed others, one can see gleam of hope ,glory and satisfaction in the eyes of Sunita, worth billion dollars. Journey from just domestic help to chef assistant.
