Mumbai- A group of leading advocates, media, advertsing professionals and Bollywood Actors, have come together to curb the increasing meance of suicides and drug abuse in entertainment industry. The initiative has support from other professional bodies, which include Bloom, a group of international speakers and coaches, film producers, armed and paramilitary officers, NGOs and leading social workers from Mumbai.

The initiative is led by Manisha Ram Kelkar, a noted actor, car racer and writer and leading Advocate Dr Ajay Kummar Pandey, of Supreme Court of India.

Talking to the media, here in Mumbai, Dr Pandey said, 'it's just not about sucide of Sushant Singh Rajput or Tunisha Sharma but dozens of such young talents from entertainment industry who committed suicide last year'. Same is the case of increasing drug abuse in the industry. We want to intervene and make a difference in the lives of people who bring cheers in our life.

The mission is spearheaded by 'Voice of Life', under the aegis of ACHAE Foundation, a NGO inspired by PM Narendra Modi, Achae Din slogan.

Speaking on the side lines of initiatives and the first meeting of the forum, going to be held tomorrow in Mumbai, Manisha, said that such intervention was the need of hour. I am fully committed to the twin causes and feeling excited to bring some light in the dark life of artists, who are at the receiving end, She added.

The initiative has received overwhelming response from the industry, said Manisha and is going to be attended by prominent people from the industry and social workers from Mumbai. The key people who are going to be present in the first meeting include Megha Dhade, Actor, Big Boss Marathi winner, Suresh Savant, Marthi Film Producer, Sheryl D' Cunha, Pilot, Capt. Prakash Chandra, Shipping, Praveen Singh, Advertising Professional, J P Pandey, Brand Strategist, Ananya Pandey, from Corporate World, K D Singh, President, Atal Morcha, Uttar Pradesh and a host of other professionals from entertainment and social sector.
