Banking Turmoil in India: An Unfolding Crisis?
The Indian banking and financial sector is reeling from a wave of mass terminations, painting a grim picture of workplace conditions. As if the layoffs at Paytm weren't distressing enough, fresh news of shocking terminations at ICICI Bank has emerged. The allegations are severe, including sexual exploitation, inhumane working hours, and forced resignations under threat. Adding to the turmoil, Axis Bank has reported similar issues of undue pressure and illegal terminations.
Is the Finance Minister of India and the Reserve Bank of India aware of this escalating crisis, or are they waiting to be caught off guard? This is a clarion call for immediate intervention to prevent further damage and protect the workforce. The time for action is now, not after the crisis deepens. Dr Ajay Kummar Pandey.
